Getting started with Designeo is easy. To manage your SEO and monitor your site’s search performance, we’ll need access to your Google Search Console property. This guide walks you through the process step by step. It only takes a few minutes.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have Owner access to the Google Search Console property you’d like us to manage. If you’re not sure, check with whoever originally verified the site.
You’ll be granting access to our team using this email address:

Step-by-Step Instructions
- Go to https://search.google.com/search-console and sign in with the Google account that has Owner access to your property.
- Once you’re logged in, select the property (website) you’d like us to manage from the property dropdown in the top left.
- In the left-hand navigation menu, click Settings (the gear icon near the bottom).
- On the Settings page, click Users and permissions.
- Click the three-dot menu or the Add user button in the top right corner of the Users and permissions screen.
- In the dialog that appears:
- Enter our email address: [email protected]
- Set the permission level to Full.
- Click Add.
- Once you’ve added us, shoot us a quick email at [email protected] so we know to log in and confirm everything is connected. We typically confirm within a few hours during business days.
Understanding Permission Levels
Google Search Console offers two permission levels when adding a user:
Full — This is what we recommend. It allows us to view all data, submit sitemaps, request indexing for new or updated pages, and manage other settings that directly affect your site’s visibility in search results.
Restricted — This limits access to viewing most data but prevents us from taking any actions on your behalf. If you’d prefer to start here, we can work with it, though it will limit what we can do without looping you in for each change.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will you have access to my Google account or other Google products? No. Google Search Console access is limited to the specific property you add us to. We won’t have access to your Gmail, Google Ads, Google Analytics, or any other Google service unless you grant that separately.
Can I remove access later? Absolutely. You can remove our access at any time from the same Users and permissions screen by clicking the three-dot menu next to our email and selecting “Remove access.”
What’s the difference between a Domain property and a URL-prefix property? Google Search Console supports two property types. A Domain property covers all subdomains and protocols (www, non-www, http, https) under a single view. A URL-prefix property only covers one specific version (e.g., https://www.yoursite.com). If you have both, we’d typically recommend adding us to the Domain property so we have the full picture. If you’re not sure which one to use, just ask and we’ll help you figure it out.
I don’t see the Settings or Users and permissions option. This usually means your Google account has Restricted access rather than Owner access. Only Owners can add new users. Check with the person who originally verified the site in Search Console, or reach out to us and we can help you troubleshoot.
What if my site isn’t set up in Google Search Console yet? No problem. We can walk you through the verification process or handle it for you. Just let us know at [email protected] and we’ll get your property set up.
Do I also need to give you access to Google Analytics? Yes. Google Analytics and Search Console serve different purposes. Search Console shows how your site appears in Google search results, while Analytics tracks what visitors do once they land on your site. To give us access to both, we have a separate guide for granting Google Analytics access.
